Born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL, I dabbled in art and photography from a young age. My media career began in 2010 when I graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication. I worked in advertising for a while in Tampa, doing mostly freelance work while still having a day job.
In 2014 I joined the U.S. Navy as a Mass Communication Specialist. I’ve completed 13 month’s worth of photography, videography and graphic design courses at the Defense Information School in Fort Meade, MD. During my time in the Navy, my work has been published in many news outlets including CNN, Fox, CBS, The Wallstreet Journal, and Navy.mil (the official Navy website).
I started Allen Michael Media in 2017 and since then I have done photography and video production for all sorts of clients. I am now out of the Navy and looking to turn this side-gig into a full-time profession. I put passion and quality into every project. I recently moved back to Tampa Bay.
